The location on the edge of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park presents all hiking enthusiasts with a spectacular natural and cultural landscape. The trails along the crystal-clear mountain lakes, fragrant meadows and ancient forests lead you to impressive vantage points and romantic huts.
The cycling and mountain biking routes in Tuxertal stretch from Finkenberg via Vorderlanersbach and all the way to the Hintertux Glacier. Leisurely routes in the valley go hand in hand with fast-paced tours at over 2,000 metres above sea level.
The GPS adventure has now also found its way to Austria and, in particular, to the Tux-Finkenberg holiday region. The aim is to use a GPS device or smartphone to find the treasures hidden by other Geocachers.
The countless leisure activities on offer make Tuxertal an attractive destination even away from the hiking and mountain biking routes. Open air pools in Finkenberg and Hintertux and the archery course in Hintertux provide entertainment for everybody.
